BookingThis method is used in physiotherapy, aesthetic and cosmetic medicine. Lymph drainage is a drainage, lymphatic massage. It reduces venous and lymphatic edema (swelling), supports venous and lymphatic circulation. It is a prevention and treatment of various diseases (obesity, sclerosis, thrombosis, cellulite, acne, varicose veins and many others). It is performed manually or with the help of a lymphatic drainage device. Treatment should be regular.
Lymph drainage reduces swelling, contributes to the proper functioning of the lymphatic system, removes harmful substances from metabolism, improves blood circulation, supplies tissues with oxygen and nutrients. Little movement, improper diet causes the lymph to slow down and many harmful substances are found in the human body. All this has a negative effect on the body and causes various swellings, a feeling of tired and heavy legs. Thanks to pressotherapy, harmful waste substances, toxins, salts and dead cells are washed away from our body. This therapy has regenerative, detoxifying and relaxing effects. Pressotherapy reduces the flow of blood in a given part of the body and thus a smaller amount of lymph is formed. Therefore, it is always necessary to use an elastic bandage on the body after lymphatic drainage (elastic stockings, sleeves, trousers, socks, knee socks...).
A disease caused by a malfunction of the lymphatic system and is manifested by swelling of soft tissues. Lymph accumulates in the tissue and swelling occurs because the lymphatic system cannot adequately drain the accumulated lymph fluid. Swelling can appear on any part of the body, but most often affects the limbs. The cause of swelling is damaged vessels or nodes, because they cannot ensure the circulation of lymph. The most common symptoms of lymphedema include swelling, itching in the hands, feeling of heavy legs, pressure under the skin, numbness of the whole limbs or parts of them, and difficulty bending the limbs at the joints. Lymphedema can be primary and secondary. Primary lymphedema is a congenital or hereditary disease that appears without an obvious cause. Initially, it manifests itself in the lower limbs (ankles, hands) and spreads towards the heart. It mostly develops during puberty, but it can also occur later (pregnancy, infection, after an injury), when the lymphatic system is unable to handle a greater load. A poorly developed lymphatic system is the cause of impaired function of the lymphatic system. Secondary lymphedema occurs as a result of injury to the lymphatic system and can occur at any age. The trigger of the injury is mostly injuries, tumors and tumor operations. Paralysis of the limbs is a high-risk cause of the development of secondary lymphedema.
